||FIGHTING PERIOD POVERTY || Christine one of the girls who was raised in our care at Run Alongside Children's Home/Orphanage who graduated as a High school Teacher on sponsorship got a dream to help other poor kids with sanitary Pads!! I'm so excited that the seeds of kindness planted into her was not in vain, she was helped now, she started a group to fight period poverty in Uganda by helping other girls in need! ''According to my survey, It has become apparent that a large percentage of the girls in Uganda who are menstruating have had infections because of their lack of access to sanitary products.“They are all embarrassed. They don’t want to talk about what they are doing for their cycles because they don’t have the supplies. The girls started telling me that when they have their periods, they’re using either old rags or books papers to handle their flow,” Lack of access to sanitary pads or menstrual hygiene products can impede a girl's full potential. Normalizing menstruation can boost girls' confidence, aiding them in achieving success -says Christine. While fighting period poverty in Uganda , she reached out to many girls with sanitary items as well as preaching the Gospel of Christ to them during our mission trip to Kyankwanzi for Women's Empowerment Conference, at our branch, Hope Christian Fellowship International Church Africa -Shiloh Center! Praise the Lord!! Thank you to all who have given, Thank you so much for sending us, because without the senders, the ones sent cannot go. We are advancing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ together. To preach the Gospel to win souls for Christ & reach out to teach some of the world’s most impoverished women with the message of hope & inspiring women everywhere to know their God-given value, activate them to be who God created them to be & empower them to fulfill God’s purpose.
