Conference halls are not platforms for speech competitions or arenas to advance personal capabilities.

There are important things to understand about international and regional conferences such as the UN, AU, and TICAD. In these conferences, when a delegate speaks, whether a president or a representative—they have the right to exit the hall despite the ongoing debate. This has nothing to do with disliking the speaker at the podium. Rather, each delegate follows a scheduled programme running alongside the main summit sessions.

These conferences are tools for diplomatic engagement and for strengthening connections among nations.

Delegates attend not for attention, but to address key issues, while conference secretariats are present to take official notes and records.

Therefore, do not focus on assumptions or misconceptions created by vitriolic individuals trying to make points on matters that are insignificant.

In African history today,

In one of the East African countries, three major tribes struggled to share national resources and jobs after gaining independence in the 1960s.

In the early years, one group gained access to both political power and national resources, while the other two were sidelined. When they finally realized the imbalance, the two disadvantaged tribes, together with marginalized segments from the dominant group, began to focus heavily on education and politics to counterbalance the influence of the resource-holding tribe.

Today, the tribe that historically controlled the country’s resources dominates the economy and holds most of the lucrative jobs. The politically elevated tribe continues to command national politics, while the smaller, academically advanced tribe leads the education sector.

1. One tribe controls the economy and lucrative employment.
2. One tribe controls political power.
3. One tribe controls the education sector.

God is the answer!

SSBC is not just focused on training interns or recent university graduates—it actively leads mentorship efforts to equip society with the information needed for informed decision-making. Embracing a culture of mentorship, SSBC recently had the pleasure of hosting passionate high school students from Light Angels Secondary School.

During their visit to the SSBC premises, the students explored studio operations, gained hands-on experience, and showcased their presentation skills, drawing inspiration from SSBC’s news presenters and reporters. I was truly impressed by their enthusiasm and energy during our studio dry run, which highlighted their potential and passion for media.

A teacher entered the classroom and found the chair he was to sit on hung to the ceiling. He looked at the students and smiled. Without saying a word, he proceeded to the blackboard and wrote:

Test - 15 min, 30 marks.

Q1. Calculate the distance between the chair and the floor in centimetres (1 Mark).

Q2. Calculate the angle of inclination of the chair to the ceiling, show your workings (1 Mark)

Q3. Write the name of the student who hung the chair to the ceiling and the friends who helped him. (28 Marks).
😂🤣🤣
