🌍 One Year On: Remembering the Kiteezi Landfill Disaster 🕯️
A year ago, the collapse of the Kiteezi landfill claimed lives, displaced hundreds, and exposed the urgent need for safer waste management in Uganda.
Today, survivors are still rebuilding—fighting economic hardship, health challenges, and the lingering scars of loss. The tragedy remains a stark reminder that sustainable urban planning is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.
