Eddy Kenzo Sets New Record in Uganda

Ever since Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo's 'Sitya Loss' went viral, his music has been doing well both locally and internationally.

Kenzo has become one of the few artistes in Uganda who has made a name on the international level.

Eddy Kenzo who enjoys a huge following in Uganda, and the entire continent has secured yet another milestone, being the first Ugandan to hit one million subscribers on YouTube; an American online video-sharing platform.

He will be walking away with the gold-plated play button that has been compared with the Hollywood walk of fame but for YouTube.

There are three categories of the YouTube Creator awards; Silver Creator Award (100,000+ subscribers), Gold Creator Award (1million+subscribers) and Diamond Creator Award (10million+ subscribers).

An excited Eddy Kenzo broke the news on his social media pages expressing gratitude to his fans in the comment section for the overwhelming love.

Due to the restrictions in movement, Eddy Kenzo is unable to get his hands on the gold plated brass.

This one of the many milestones Eddy Kenzo has attained.

Two months ago, he secured top spot in YouTube's top artistes in Uganda for the month of February.

His song 'Tweyagale' topped the list of most played song in Africa according to Google, a parent company of American video platform, YouTube.
