There are days when my mind feels like a cage like there’s someone inside me trying to scream, but the voice never makes it out. That’s what anxiety feels like. You can be silent, still, and yet your mind is loud, heavy, and restless. It presses on you, making the smallest things feel impossible. You start to drift away from people, not because you don’t care, but because you can’t find the words anymore.
I’ve learned that anxiety doesn’t always show sometimes it hides behind a smile, other times behind silence. But holding it in only makes it stronger. Talking to someone a friend, a family member, or even someone who simply listens can lift a huge weight off the mind. It’s not weakness; it’s healing.
To anyone fighting the same battle: breathe, take it slow, and remind yourself that your mind deserves peace too. Keep talking, keep trying it gets lighter.
