The Role of Elders in Shaping African Youths

Elders play a vital role in shaping African youths into responsible and morally upright individuals. As custodians of culture, tradition, and wisdom, they serve as guides and mentors, passing down valuable life lessons, ethical values, and historical knowledge. Through storytelling, counseling, and leading by example, elders instill respect, discipline, and a strong sense of identity in the youth. Their involvement helps young people navigate challenges, make wise decisions, and remain grounded in their roots, preparing them to become future leaders who uphold African values and contribute positively to their communities and the world.

This is why our founders, Brian Matthew Raven and Yakalemye John , established this ministry with a clear focus on empowering African youths. Inspired by the wisdom of elders and the pressing need for positive role models, they envisioned a generation of young people equipped with strong values, purpose, and leadership to shape a brighter future for Africa.

THIS IS OUR DREAM

Africa is rising—and its greatest treasure is not buried beneath the soil, but alive in the hearts of its youth. Our young people carry dreams powerful enough to rewrite the story of this continent. But to awaken that purpose, to ignite that fire, they need an encounter—an environment charged with vision, truth, and destiny.

That’s why this youth conference is more than an event; it’s a divine appointment. It’s a place where potential will be unlocked, identity will be restored, and a generation will rise with a purpose bigger than themselves. A generation that will not just chase success but walk in significance.

Let’s bring every young person we can. Let’s gather the future doctors, teachers, leaders, artists, and visionaries of Africa—and show them that they are chosen, they are called, and they are capable of transforming nations.

This is not just about filling seats. It’s about raising a generation that will carry the light of purpose into every corner of Africa.

The time is now. The call is clear. The future is waiting.

"Our message this week to African youth: Respect your parents or guardians deeply, for the path they have walked is the one you are yet to take. Honoring them is essential for your growth in wisdom."

Rising the spirit of African Youths.
