Prayer of Thanksgiving and Peace on Resurrection Day

Lord Almighty,
On this holy day of resurrection, we bow before You with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for the gift of life, for keeping us alive each day, and for providing all our basic needs. Thank You for surrounding us with generous friends whose kindness reflects Your love.

Today, as we celebrate the victory of Jesus over death, we join together to lift our voices for peace. Lord, we ask You to reign in the hearts of those who wage wars in the Middle East and in every corner of the world where conflict steals lives and destroys prosperity. Touch them with Your power, soften their hearts, and guide them to initiate peace instead of violence.

May the resurrection of Christ remind all humanity that life is sacred, that love conquers hatred, and that peace is Your divine will for humankind. Let this day be a turning point, where nations choose reconciliation over destruction, and hope over despair.

We trust in Your mighty hand, Lord, to heal the world, to protect the innocent, and to bring lasting peace. In the name of the risen Jesus, we pray, Amen.
