Muwala Asobola Community Initiative-MACI

For many girls, Communities like ours arenโt always safe places to grow up in, no mentors to turn to, or any opportunity to be heard. ๐
Weโre working to change that โ one girl, one skilling platform, one opportunity at a time.
Since our inception, our work has been largely supported by through their Race for Equality Campaign. Up to now, they continue to cover about 90% of our programs โ including the rent for our safe space. We are deeply grateful for such a partnership and commitment.
Because of that consistent support, weโve been able to show up for girls and young people with dignity, mentorship, and hands-on skills training.
Through this support, we have kept a consistent safe space open for both girls and boys to learn, grow, and feel protected.
We have delivered regular Music and life-skills sessions that build confidence, leadership, resilience and creativity.
We have nurtured peer mentorship, allowing boys to support girls, lead, and find their voice.
We have contributed to a cry to end Periods poverty and related stigma while involving male participation in menstrual conversation.
And most importantly, we have created a community where young people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Now, for the first time ever, we are launching our Monthly Giving Program. Not because support has ended โ But because the vision is growing.
We want to reach more girls.
We want to expand mentorship.
We want to introduce more entrepreneurial skills and impact even more young people.
And that growth requires lasting support from people like you.
This is an invitation for those who believe in our mission to help us sustain and expand it โ month by month, life by life.
You can be part of this journey by skipping one cup of Coffee a month, and give it to the Young People in Crisis:

It was a significant occasion for us as we had the esteemed presence of the Board Chair of Brass for Africa for the first time at our new Safe Space.
In his remarks, Mr. Todd, well-known for his fondness for children and youth, reminded them of their value, noting that their existence gives purpose to his passion. Recognizing the vital role Music and Life-Skills has played in equipping young people with confidence to mold their communities, Mr. Todd pledged to support the CEO: Andrew Agassi, the Country Director: Kabuye Ronald, and the support staff of Brass for Africa in providing a safe haven for children to live and thrive.

SPREADING LOVE!!!
It was amazing last weekend at the Eseza Foundation. Led by the Queen Miss Raising woman, .runner, our founder and other youth visited Luteete to celebrate with young people and children battling cancer.
The stories are heartbreaking, showing how families reject their own children over a sickness beyond their control. Kudos to Ms. Nalubega Amina for such MissUgandaFoundation@๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐

16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM 2025
Last week, we were honored to join our sister organization, MAKE A Change in Namuwongo, in commemorating the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2025.
Under the theme: End Digital Violence Against All Women and girls, we used music to create awarenes and later the community members, especially youth, benefited from authoritative guidance on Cyber Crime and Security, stressing the need for online safety.
We are grateful to Make a Change Community Initiative for leading this social impact event and we acknowledge the funding provided by Brass for Africa that saw the success-of this event

YOUTH IN JOB CREATION NOT SEEKING.
Organized and sponsored Brass for Africa, yesterday, we hosted MAKE A Change from Namuwongo for the Career Development Follow up workshop.
During the workshop, young participants were divided into groups and tasked with developing a business project to create employment opportunities for themselves, including strategies for implementation
This gesture not only gave them a chance to dream big, but also realized that they have always had the capacity to work though their confidence dies with insufficient resources.
Thank you so much our facilitators for making it informative.
With sufficient support, young people are capable of achieving their objective. Be part of our journey in achieving youth economic empowerment.
