ACORD Uganda

As part of Water Week, on 17 March 2026, the Ministry of Water and Environment launched a tree nursery greenhouse at Bishop Stuart University, Mbarara — a key milestone in restoring the Rwizi Catchment.

Implemented with BSU and ACORD Uganda, the initiative will supply high-quality tree seedlings to rehabilitate degraded ecological hotspots and strengthen long-term environmental sustainability and water security in the region.

ACORD Uganda country office staff (Director of Programmes and Internal Auditor) conducted a support and monitoring visit to the Agriculture and Market Support (AMS) project in Nakapiripirit, Napak and Nabilatuk District. In the photos, they are seen witnessing some of the commodities (like cooking oil) produced by Kaala women oil processing group that received support from the project.
