Understanding The Will Of God VI

Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”

Being the last episode on these series, God wants us to realize the truth here that will help us to keep up with what God is doing and will always do in our lives.

In the opening text, the Bible says He’s able to do much more than what we ask or think. I want us today to realize that God’s ways are not our ways neither His thoughts our thoughts. Ref Isaiah 55:8.
Many would think that God maybe works things out in a magical way, yes He can do that like how He made the way in the Red Sea. But most times we fail to realize that there’s always human effort involved before God performs His works. For example, the incidence at the Red Sea, Moses had to obey the command from God and use what was given to him to activate the power that was already at work in him. That’s the effort I’m talking about.

God’s will to us is always to get involved in what He’s doing in our lives in away that activates what He has already deposited in the inside of us. The sooner we recognize His power in us, the sooner we will be able to activate it do far more than what we expect or think.

But tonight I want to also point out that, though God works according to the power that He has put in us already, it’s not in our jurisdiction to understand how it will work out or be manifested in our lives though we know what He’s able to do.

Child of God, the will of God is not about you knowing how God works things out because His ways are not our ways, but His will is to know that we have the power in us that He uses to workout the unexpected things in our lives.

My prayer today for you is that God will keep on teaching you and me to understand His will for our lives better in order not miss out on moments when He’s doing things our lives. He’s a God of moments.

Understanding The Will Of God IV

Ephesians 5:15-18 “Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit. [Prov. 23:20.]”

Understanding the will of God always seems uncertain and confusing but if we seek God diligently according to 2Chronicles 26:5 He will make us prosper[Have good success both in the physically and spiritually]. This tells me that for me to understand God’s will, it actually starts from seeking Him, there He gives me success in understanding His will for my life.

Back to the portion of the day, here Paul try’s to explain what God wills us to live like, “Live purposefully, worthily and accurately” as wise people with a clear conscience and understanding of who God is and also living a HolySpirit filled life. That’s God’s will for our lives brethren.

According to Vs.9 God wills us to have the fruit of light or Spirit which is goodness, uprightness of heart and trueness of life. If we have these three, then we have the will of God. Child of God, God wills us to have a daily communion with Him through the above three factors. To understand God’s will for your life, you must first understand the fruit of the light[Spirit] in your life.
