MOSES' GRACE BASED REVIVAL
Exodus 32-34
*The children of Israel have sinned by worshipping the calf as their God because they saw that Moses had delayed coming down from the mountain.
*Moses is up on the mountain receiving the ten commandments.
*God tells him to go down and also tells him how He was ready to destroy them all and at least make a nation out of Moses. 32:7-10
*Moses pleaded with the Lord. He interceded quoting the covenant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He also argued saying if He God destroyed them, how will the Egyptians say, won't they say God intended to bring them out of Egypt in order to destroy them at the mountains? 32:11-13
*LOOK AT THIS IN Vs 14, "So the Lord relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people."
Lessons
1. Revival is led by God through men. God who Himself wanted to destroy the Israelites because of their sin empowered Moses to plead for them. It's grace.
2. All movements that bring about people's salvation is because a man stood in the Gap to plead. Who is Moses to change God from what He had decided to do.
3. The Bible says God's wrath is coming to all unbelievers (Ephesians 5:6), when we plead with God for those near us, salvation, healing and Revival will come.
