Lake Victoria a.k.a Nalubaale in Luganda is one of the African Great Lakes. The Lake was named after Queen Elizabeth by the explorer John Hanning Speke, the first Briton to DOCUMENT IT.

Lake Victoria is Africa's largest lake by area, the largest tropical ( region of the earth sorrounding the equator ) lake in the world and the worlds' second largest fresh water lake by surface area, after lake Superior in North America.
