Коли приїзжаєш в Польщу, різко почуваєш присутність України всюди: знайомі слова, мова, навіть вирази обличчя якісь «наші». Навіть фігури та хода людей - схожі. Після спортивних, підтянутих голандців, що з народження ганяють на роверах бачиш жінок з впізнаваними короткими стрижками, округлими сілуетами та з пакетами продуктів. У нас дуже схожі звички та лайфстайл - калорійна їжа та відсутність спорту… Та все це дуже рідне і знайоме - і мова, і люди, і міста.
На умовному кордоні між Німеччиною та Польщею ми доганяємо колонну гуманітарної допомоги із Британії - із жовто-блакитними стрічками, з прапорами України… Розумію, що нам в одну сторону. Розумію, як змінився світ, і що я повертаюсь ближче і ближче…
У Вроцлаві бігаю старим містом із прапором, - бігунів тут зовсім немає, хоча погода дуже доречна. Всюди «солідарність із Україною» та «підтримка України в ЄС»… Та каштани. І бузок. За дві тисячі км, у Голандії, зовсім інша природа, - за каштанами скучила…

Коли живеш у Києві, пісня Зіброва про Крещатик і каштани здається наівною - ну хто, живучи у Києві, буде кожного дня так пишатися тими каштанами… Не маючи доступу до них тепер, сильно сумуєш і дуже охота додому… Може, вже скоро?

Really I cannot find words and energy after news from Bucha. But I understand I still need to act! And I do. Today we need to raise $12500 more for people with disabilities (spinal injury) also from Bucha…

Have you thought about how to escape to a bomb shelter when you can't walk, but move on a wheelchair?

Have you thought about how to survive air attacks and shelling when you have a spinal cord injury? In conditions where there is no, sorry, a regular toilet - not something "affordable" for wheelchairs.

Did you imagine that people with such injuries and on chairs lived in Bucha? .. In Irpin, Kharkiv, Mariupol…

When the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began, my friend Uliana Pcholkina, who has been in a wheelchair for many years, helps people with such injuries to adapt to life, along with her husband Vitaly Pchelkin, who also has a spinal cord injury, and their cat Lutik.

After two weeks of occupation, they are alive and well, helping hundreds of people with spinal cord injuries to evacuate across Ukraine and abroad, and providing them with special hygiene products and medicines, the Active Rehabilitation Group.
So far, 756 people in wheelchairs have asked for help and 421 people have already received help. We are raising $ 20,000 - this should be enough for a month of assistance to Ukrainians with disabilities: hygiene products, medicines, money for transportation.
