The powerful rear-wheel drive sedan BMW M5 was first introduced to the public in 1985. Outwardly, the car practically did not differ from the “five” of the second generation, but under the hood it had an engine from the small-scale BMW M1 coupe - an in-line “six” with a volume of 3.5 liters, developing 286 hp.
