It is believed that in the village Delovoye in Transcarpathian region, not far from Rakhiv is the geographical center of Europe. At the present time the scientists are divided on where it should be located. According to calculations, the center of Europe in Rakhiv was determined by geodesists from Hungary back in 1887. At that time they erected a sign that resembled a truncated four-cornered pyramidal figure. The new stele with a height of seven meters was installed on May 27, 1977.

In Mukachevo (Zakarpattya region), on the banks of the Latoritsa river, there is a wonderful ancient castle called "Palanok". The medieval fortress towers over the city and occupies an area of 14 thousand square meters, which is especially popular among tourists. The castle was built on a mountain of volcanic origin, at an altitude of sixty-eight meters. In 1960, a history museum was opened within the walls of Mukachevo castle. In 1998, a bronze monument to Prince Fyodor Koryatovich was installed in the courtyard. Under the walls and towers of the fortress "Palanok" there are underground passages. The attraction has three levels, including the upper, middle and lower castles.

In Mykulychyn is a stunning, ancient landmark - the Church of the Holy Trinity with a bell tower. The church was built and consecrated in 1869. Architect J. Tchaikovsky worked on the design of the church. The iconostasis was painted by the artist Kornil Ustyanovich.
