Climbing Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho Route

The Lemosho Route is one of the most popular options for climbing Kilimanjaro, and there are good reasons why. Firstly, Lemosho's starting point is on the western slope, away from popular tourist destinations. Secondly, along Lemosho you can see the most beautiful panoramas of the Shira Plateau. Also, this climbing route is one of the best acclimatization programs on Kilimanjaro 👌⁠

The expedition passes through several climate zones, which makes an unforgettable experience of rainforests and glaciers. The arid land will be replaced by picturesque meadows, and, as you rise above the clouds to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), you will find arctic weather. If desire, after a successful climb to the peak, you can also go down to the nearest glacier. Finally, as you descend Kilimanjaro, you will find yourself in a tropical forest.⁠

Six-, seven- and eight-day trekking options are available on Lemosho. For beginners, we recommend longer options to allow for better adaptation to the higher altitude☝️.
