Strengthening citizen participation is essential for building accountable, inclusive, and responsive governance systems. When citizens actively engage in decision making processes, they contribute valuable perspectives that help shape policies and development initiatives that reflect community needs and priorities.

On 10th May 2026, Rural Youth Champions (RYCs) from Ruangwa participated in the installation of a notice board and the posting of important information at Matambalale Primary School, supporting efforts to strengthen access to information and community engagement within the school environment.

The initiative is part of ongoing youth-led actions under the Kuyenda Project aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation in education. By creating accessible information-sharing spaces, young people continue to play a vital role in connecting schools, students, parents, and communities while encouraging active civic engagement at the grassroots level.
