🟡Five Countries Pledge Troops for Proposed Gaza Stabilization Force
🔸A newly proposed International Stabilization Force for Gaza was announced during a meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace in Washington, DC. According to the proposal, five countries—Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Albania—have pledged to contribute troops to the mission.
The plan outlines a leadership structure headed by U.S. Army General Jasper Jeffers, appointed as commander of the future stabilization mission. Indonesia has agreed to serve as Deputy Commander, with President Prabowo Subianto stating the country is prepared to deploy up to 8,000 personnel. Indonesian officials emphasized that their contribution would focus primarily on humanitarian tasks and support for stability.
In addition, Egypt and Jordan are expected to support the initiative by training Palestinian police officers, aiming to strengthen local security and governance capacities.
The proposal is presented as an effort to help “make this peace work” in Gaza amid ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis. Further details regarding mandate, timeline, and international authorization have yet to be clarified.
