Pink Flamingos. Greater Flamingos.

I’ve been to the Ngorongoro Crater three times, yet I never caught the name of the lake where I took this shot. It didn’t matter in the moment — the flamingos stole the scene.

Both species were there, but the pink ones stood out, vibrant and in greater numbers. The smaller ones — Lesser Flamingos — were just as striking, delicate and elegant in their own way.

Pink flamingos remind me of home too. They’re not just birds of the crater — they’re part of our skies as well.

The one that sweeps with its beak like a slow, grim cleaner of the savannah. Ugly, bold, strangely majestic… and yeah, kind of cancerous.

Graceful and fierce — the lioness rules the Serengeti with strength and stealth.
🐾 Fun fact: Lionesses do 85% of the hunting in a pride!

This amazing family traveled all the way from the UK to Tanzania to reconnect with a special part of their roots — the mother lived here back in the ’90s and wanted to share the magic of Tanzania with her loved ones.

During their trip, they explored the mainland and soaked up the sun in beautiful Zanzibar. One of the highlights was visiting Makumbusho Village, where they dove into rich local traditions, enjoyed vibrant cultural dances, and discovered the fascinating history of Tanzania.

A journey full of connection, culture, and unforgettable memories! 🌍✨
