The Doodling Dutchie

I don't know what type of plant this is, but it is fat, fluffy, and a menace to all other plants...

They are finished! Bad, reflective picture with me first, just to show how big they really are!

I started on these honey gouramis somewhere in the beginning of 2023. Yeah, you read that right, they took me three years to finish! Other projects took priority, I got sick of all the yellow at some point, and more recently I made a big mistake that was really difficult to fix, and I just couldn't look at them for a while after that. In the end they took about 30 hours of actual drawing time. Not that bad. Really happy with the end result!

New year, new pigment! When my purple cauliflower dinner left bright green cooking water, I just had to see what pigment colour it would be. Turns out it's a lovely light blue!

This eastern bluebird is made using all home made watercolour paint and pigments. Orange is yellow onion (love love love!), dark blue is red cabbage, light blue is purple cauliflower, green is red onion, brown is avocado.
