Under Tanzania’s 2025 national theme, “Strengthening Alliances and Building Movements to End FGM,” HIMD reaffirms its dedication to protecting girls and women from the harmful practice of FGM.

10% of Tanzanian girls and women face the risks of FGM, often in rural areas where awareness and support are needed most. HIMD is working to empower communities, build partnerships, and advocate for policies that safeguard girls’ rights and futures.

Her training focuses on safely reintegrating previously rescued children into their communities, ensuring a healing process that fosters successful futures while maintaining strong connections with their roots. This partnership reinforces HIMD’s dedication to empowering children and communities through sustainable conflict-healing practices.
