Another small beginning, this past Friday, with life-changing health implications: One of our nurse-midwives leads a short seminar for our antenatal moms who attend our clinic for a monthly check-up.

Four year-old Khalima was brought in by her mother with a bleeding cut wound on the lower right leg. The mother was terrified, with her child crying in shock and pain. The bleeding was controlled, and some stitches were applied. Khalima, finally at peace, was discharged with some medicine for pain and infection. As of this week, after two follow-up visits, she is healing well.
