Hy dear Friends & Donors, every time we receive new funding in a project we search for the best way to make the most impact. Sometimes it takes some time to reach enough funds to execute, but in the Wildlife Conservation project we are already on our next milestone.
Recently we visited the Tanzania Wildlife Authority (Northern Zone Office), which serves as an anti-poaching unit covering four regions: Arusha, Tanga, Kilimanjaro, and Manyara. The unit plays a vital role in combating poaching and protecting natural resources.
On behalf of DHF, we were able to donate 16 pairs of gumboots to support the rangers in their daily conservation efforts. The team expressed their sincere appreciation for this contribution, noting that it acknowledges and supports their commitment to protecting wildlife.
Mr. Okode, the Anti-Poaching Officer, together with Ms. Rachel Nkuni, extended their heartfelt gratitude to DHF for the generous support and warmly welcomed future visits whenever the opportunity arises.

Last week we had the annual TreeGivingDay, where we distributed a total 2,800! Grevillia trees to different people and places in Olidonyong'iro and to farmers from all five benefiting villages in the area: Shishtoni, Mbaaseni, Muungano and Malula.
The total number of trees from donations on GlobalGiving: 2,000
• Beneficiary village: Oldonyong’iro
• Total beneficiaries: 123 farmers
• Trees distributed to farmers: 1,476
• Trees allocated to King’ori Primary School: 150
• Trees allocated to Mareu Health Centre: 150
• Trees allocated to Oldonyong’iro Churches: 150
• Trees allocated to Oldonyong’iro Mosque: 50
In addition, we received 800 trees donated by Global Agency for International Development, which were distributed to 80 beneficiaries.
All the people who have received these new trees, have been instructed how to take care of them. If you do care well, you get in 5 years time fuelwood, timber, shade for crops and improved soil around the tree. Our guest Kees van Veluw took part in this event to see that everything is done like we tell you it goes! 😀
