LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION is granted where the deceased died intestate wholly or partly. Wholly intestate means that, the deceased died without a will and partly intestate means that the deceased left a will but, the said will doesn’t cover all the deceased’s properties.
Therefore, the properties that were not covered/ mentioned in the deceased’s will, will be administered as if there is no will left by the deceased.
