All experiences and memories in life are profoundly precious existences. Yet, when viewed on the vast scale of the universe, those fleeting moments will ultimately dissipate with the passage of time, much like tears sliding away in the rain.

When it rains, whether it is the sound, the visual scene, the moist sensation on the skin, or the subtle emotional ripples stirred deep within, everything carries a quieter, more restrained sensitivity. Each person perceives rain differently, and what we aim to capture is that precise instant when one truly “feels the rain”—the moment that allows us to record every delicate sensory memory.

PROJECTbyH. AW26 “Thoughts of Rain” translates the layers of rain into a language of creation. Through striped fabrics with varying hand-feels, it shapes a visual flow that guides the eye from top to bottom. By combining natural materials—cotton-linen and wool—of different weaves, thicknesses, and weights, it constructs subtle yet distinct structural contrasts, mirroring the shifting, layered manifestations of rainfall.

This season, every detail has been meticulously refined: all stitching and reinforcement are executed vertically, eliminating horizontal visual interruptions so the gaze can fall naturally downward. Hand-operated knitting techniques subvert conventional weave logic—using a horizontal base structure while introducing inlaid yarns to produce clear, vertical linear textures. The dyeing process employs deep, ink-like shades, achieved through repeated immersion, brushing, and washing, resulting in a subdued, contemplative tone and the gentle traces of time, as if left by rainwater.

Through the works of this season, we hope to quietly share with you the experience of feeling the rain, along with those emotions and memories that belong solely to the present moment.
