If you haven’t done so already, remember to go get those yearly physicals, dental checkups and vision screening to make the most of your health insurance.
Having Insurance coverage from an employer is an excellent ! But should it be your only coverage? There are other factors to consider when considering this:
👉🏽Amount of Coverage💲
The amount of insurance you are covered for with your employer may not be enough for your and your family as Group Insurance usually provides minimal amounts
👉🏽Portability🚗
Chances are that if you were no longer employed by the Company, you will not be able to take it with you and your coverage ends. You may say that you have no intentions of leaving your employer, keep in mind that separation could be voluntary or involuntary – you can lose your job due to an unplanned event such as injury, illness, company restructuring or closure. We have witnessed this over the past couple years.

Group plans usually require you to be actively employed for coverage to be in-force (valid). An injury or illness causing you to be away from work for an extended period of time may make you ineligible for coverage in the event of death.
👉🏽Cost of Waiting💵
Insurance is purchased with our age and our health, deferring a decision to obtain personal coverage means paying more later on.
