PAVÉ IS RE-INVENTING ITSELF AS A COMPLETE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE.
We have recently enrolled in a 3 month program called Social Entrepreneurship (learn more about the program here https://www.coursera.org/course/socialentrepeneur) which teaches participants about forming a social enterprise and guides us to creating a business plan and raise funding for our project.

For our project Pavé would like to create a directory for small/micro businesses, within the Sustainable Tourism sector, from across the Caribbean to advertise. These businesses would include Eco-tourism, Community based businesses, Art & Culture services education and products. The intention is to bring the world directly to the small businessman who cannot afford grand scale advertising.

We also want to encourage language education and preservation of culture through a Caribbean wide Homestay service. Language diversity in the Caribbean is a problem for at risk islands such as Haiti. Haiti experience social, economic and political exclusion from bodies such as CARICOM due to the lack of ubiquity of Creole and even French in the english speaking Caribbean. In Trinidad traditional forms of costume making is dwindling every year and the skills and traditions that could benefit the economy will be lost along with a fervent history if it is not aggressively preserved. The Homestay service can help bring people globally to the islands for the purpose of educating other islands and the globe while putting money directly into the hands of locals in communities and the artisans who need funding to create their craft annually. Students and adults will be encouraged to take part in this service.

This week we are on a 7 day fund raising challenge at the Social Entrepreneurship program to see which group and business can get the most money. Our personal wish is for everyone to go over to our page and like us as networking is the most important thing for this venture. Having visibility for these businesses is important. We intend to reach a goal of 100,000 people by the end of the project in July.
