In the beginning it is really hard. There is self doubt, criticism from others, and stupid mistakes that fuel Imposter Syndrome. Rest assured that it gets easier every day even though it won’t feel that way. Your expertise is loading. It takes time. Then one day you will look at yourself and realise that you are doing the thing that seemed impossible.

When I first started working on camera, I was so afraid, so bad at it, so open to everyone’s criticism. But I kept on. I learned to listen to the advice of good coaches and silence my own doubt. Then, next thing I knew, I had been doing the “impossible” thing for years and years. And because of that experience I know that the way it begins is not the way it will end.

So go on, launch into your bumpy beginnings in anticipation of a beautiful end. Because it is coming sooner than you think.
