Grand Bazaar is only four minutes on foot away from Lika and its one of the world’s first shopping markets, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey, is also one of the largest covered markets today. The strategic location of Istanbul helped it in emerging as the hub of trade and commerce in the Mediterranean.
There are four main gates to the Grand Bazaar – one at each of the two major streets, whose intersection is at the southwest corner of the shopping center.
The market’s streets are named for the items sold in their zones, like jewelry, furniture, carpets, leather goods, clothing, and books.

The Grand Bazaar is popular for the following items:

- Antiques
- Belly-dancing costumes
- Carpets
- Ceramic objects & Souvenirs
- Clothing
- Copper ware
- Fabric
- Gold Jewelry
- Handbags, Briefcases & Suitcases
- Leather
- Silverware

Here are some pictures of Grand Bazaar and a detailed high resolution map would help you moving around.

Have you ever tasted the delicious Turkish Simit?! 🍞
Well everyone I know who tasted this Turkish bread fall in love with it, and even our guests at Lika and some tourists ask for its recipe to make some when they get back home... I don't blame them at all since I love Simit too 🍞 💓
