We discovered the works of Dunya Atay and especially love the way she inserts a morbid touch in her dense playground. There's something both naive and extremely cynic in her art that really moves us.

Dünya Atay is a visual artist & designer who works with different mediums across various branches of art - from illustration to graphic design, street art to sculpture. Playing, questioning, destroying and most of the times rejecting what is given as real and creating her own reality is what she does. She works mainly with ink, gouache and assorted print media.

All along the summertime GOSS is gonna share the promising and reputed artists from Turkey and elsewhere we had a crush on.

Let's start with the young & talented turkish photographer Cansu Korkmaz.
Her genuine look grasps the most bizarre side of everyday life and ordinary objects - that we took the habit to ignore. We especially loved the way she takes portraits of usual objects, giving them almost human expressions, from despair to crazy joy. And the way she shots the "strange energy" of events and streets. In her blog “Garip bir enerjin var” you'll discover this "weird energy" and her strong and ambiguous universe.

We met Emrah years ago in his studio-flat in Moda. Back then we talked about the fascinating enigma of the face and sung Nouvelle Vague together. It was a pleasure to propose him to join Goss with his beautiful portraits. Using his camera as an extension of his eye and his body, Emrah constructs a line of communication between him and the face he photographs.
