MOBILE – TO – MOBILE COMMUNICATION
Mobile-to-mobile FPSO, structure or barge communication is possible by installing an auto tracking antenna system on all sites. Ship #1 has two - a sector base station as well as 360° continuous BATS systems installed, each positioned to opposite directions of the ship, for both stabilized microwave PTP and PMP network coverage. Ship #2 also has systems installed in a similar manner, so regardless of which direction the two ships are pointed, a microwave link can be established between the two vessels, allowing for increased working area between the master vessels and the workboats on the PMP network.
