From Russia/Chechnya to Istanbul: A Hopeful Beginning Against Parkinson’s 🌍✨
Our 59-year-old female patient began experiencing tremors in her left shoulder in 2019, marking the start of her Parkinson’s disease. Over time, the tremor in her left hand, muscle spasms, and cramp-like pain in her left leg made her daily life increasingly difficult. A deformity in her right foot due to muscle spasms further limited her mobility.
In April 2025, she came to Istanbul for treatment and underwent a detailed evaluation at the Neuromodulation Center. Following the examinations, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery was successfully performed by our partner neurosurgeon.
Post-operatively, a significant improvement was achieved in tremors and muscle spasms. Today, our patient is moving towards a more balanced, freer, and hopeful life. 💙
