Misal Pav from a Maharastrian friend

Ingredients:

2 cup moth beans (sprouted). (It took 2 days to get them sprouted)
3 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp jeera / cumin, few curry leaves, 1 tsp red chilli pwoder, 1/4 tsp turmeric / haldi, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, salt to taste, water, green leafy coriander, 2xtsp dry coconut powder.
Other veg- 3x garlic cloves, 1xsmall ginger, 4x medium size tomatoes, 1xbig onions, few green chillies to make your misal hot and spicy.

I used "ready-made made misal pav masala", also called the goda/ godha masala.

Serving ingredients- hot bombay mix, fine chopped onions, lemons/ limes, pav/ buns.

Prep time- 20 mins
Cooking time- 45 mins

Step by instructions-

1. To boil the sprouted moth in a pressure cooker. Add pinch of salt and 3cups water for good boiling. Leave for 3-4 whistle to make them into blended soft.

2. In a large deep pan, heat 3 tbsp oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp jeera and few curry leaves. Add turmeric, some chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala.
Saute on low flame till spices turn aromatic. Add misal pav masala to this and saute again.
Add all vegs- chopped onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes. Grind them into paste.

Add boiled sprouted moth.
cover and boil for another 15 minutes- This "Misal" is cooked completely.

Ready to serve with hot bombay mix, fine chopped onions, lemon/ lime slices and pav.
