Our bamboo spa is looking to welcome a new receptionist to join our team.

Position: Spa Receptionist (Part-time / Full-time)

What we’re looking for:
• Friendly, well-presented, and professional
• Able to communicate in English
• Strong customer service skills
• Organized and reliable
• Comfortable using computers (booking systems, messaging, basic tasks)

What you’ll do:
• Greet and assist clients with a warm, welcoming attitude
• Manage bookings and appointments
• Handle calls and messages
• Support daily front desk operations

My name is Rin Minckler, and I’ve been the owner of Bamboo Spa since we opened our doors almost 20 years ago.

I understand we have new families moving into the community this year, so I’d love to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

My family and I lived in Nichada for many years, and both of my sons attended ISB since kindergarten. In 2018, we relocated to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to support their dream of playing college baseball. I’m very proud to share that my older son, Ryan, is now finishing his first year as professional player with the Washington Nationals, while my younger son, Matthew, is currently studying and playing baseball at the University of Delaware.

When I first moved, my mother kindly stepped in to help manage Bamboo Spa while I was abroad. Running a business from across the globe hasn’t always been easy, and I know I haven’t always been as consistent with updates on our page as I’d like. After COVID, we also experienced some turnover with our therapists. Still, my top priority has always been to provide our customers with excellent service and genuine care—and I remain committed to making it as consistent, or even better, moving forward. This month, we’ll have a small change in management at the spa, but Khun Sun, our wonderful receptionist, will be stepping up to ensure you continue receiving the warm and professional service we’ve always strived to deliver to our customers.

Now that our children are grown, my husband and I are able to spend more time between both countries. Each year, we escape the New Hampshire winters and return to Thailand from October through February, heading back to the U.S. just in time for baseball season. While I no longer live in Nichada, you might see me around the spa more often—so please don’t hesitate to say hello!
