The project is the design of a cafe in the city center of Suphanburi called ”FRIDAY CAFE,“ which has been renovated from an old single-unit commercial building. The cafe is located at the corner of a street and uses the usable space on the ground floor and mezzanine of the building. With a limited budget, the designer chose to use plastic crates, which are easily sourced and provide a unique identity for the cafe, drawing the attention of passersby.

The design concept plays on the first syllable of the name ”Friday“ (วันศุกร์), which is ”FINE,“ meaning ”the last day of the workweek“ or ”the best day of the week.“ This concept inspired the mood, tone, and graphics within the cafe. The furniture is designed to be movable, allowing for future changes in the space and its use.

โปรเจคออกแบบคาเฟ่ในตัวเมืองสุพรรณบุรี ”FRIDAY CAFE“ ที่ถูกrenovateมาจากอาคารพาณิชย์เก่า1คูหา ตั้งอยู่บริเวณมุมถนน ออกแบบโดยใช้พื้นที่ใช้สอยในชั้น 1 และชั้นลอยของอาคาร ซึ่งมีโจทย์ใช้งบประมาณอย่างจำกัด ทางผู้ออกแบบจึงเลือกใช้วัสดุอย่างลังพลาสติกที่หาได้ง่ายและเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของร้านไปในตัว เพื่อดึงดูดสายตาผู้คนที่ผ่านไปผ่านมา ซึ่ง concept การออกแบบคือการเล่นคำของพยางค์แรกของชื่อร้าน Friday (วันศุกร์) n. เป็นคำว่า FINE ที่มีความหมายว่า ”วันสุดท้ายของการออกไปทำงาน วันที่ ดี (fine) ที่สุดของเเต่ละอาทิตย์ :)“ จึงเป็นที่มาของ mood and tone และ grapgic ภายในร้านแห่งนี้ และ function เฟอร์นิเจอร์ถูกออกแบบมาให้สามารถเคลื่อนย้ายได้เพื่อการใช้งานที่อยากเปลี่ยนแปลงในอนาคต
