ถึงผู้ปกครองนักเรียนช่วงก่อนสอบ
เป็นคำแนะนำและเตือนสติพ่อแม่ได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม
Very good advice...
A school principal in Singapore sent this letter to the parents before the exams..............................
Dear Parents,
- เรียนท่านผู้ปกครองทั้งหลาย
The exams of your children are to start soon. I know you are all really anxious for your child to do well.
- ช่วงเวลาแห่งการสอบของเด็กๆ ใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว
เรารู้ว่าพวกท่านคงรู้สึกวิตกกังวล
อยากให้เด็กๆ ของท่านทำได้ดีในการสอบ
But, please do remember, amongst the students, who will be sitting for the exams, there is an artist, who doesn't need to understand Maths.
- แต่โปรดอย่าลืมว่า ในบรรดาเด็กนักเรียนทั้งหลาย
ที่จะต้องมานั่งทำข้อสอบเหล่านี้ อาจมีว่าที่ศิลปิน
ผู้ซึ่งไม่จำเป็นต้องเข้าใจลึกซึ้งในวิชาคณิตศาสตร์
There is an entrepreneur, who doesn't care about History or English literature.
- อาจจะมีว่าที่เจ้าของธุรกิจส่วนตัว
ผู้ซึ่งไม่จำเป็นต้องสนใจในวิชาประวัติศาสตร์
หรือวรรณกรรมภาษาอังกฤษ
There's a musician, whose Chemistry marks won't matter.
- อาจมีว่าที่นักดนตรี ซึ่งผลคะแนนในวิชาเคมี
ไม่ได้มีความสำคัญกับเขา
There's a sportsperson, whose physical fitness is more important than Physics...like Schooling
- อาจจะมีว่าที่นักกีฬา ผู้ซึ่งความแข็งแกร่ง
ของร่างกายสำคัญกว่า ทฤษฎีกายภาพ
If your child does get top marks, that's great! But, if he or she doesn't, please don't take away their self-confidence and dignity from them.
- ถ้าบุตรหลานของท่านทำคะแนนสอบได้ดี
นั่นก็ยอดเยี่ยมมาก แต่ถ้าไม่เป็นเช่นนั้น
ได้โปรดอย่าพรากความมั่นใจในตนเองของพวกเขา
Tell them it's OK, it's just an exam! They are cut out for much bigger things in life.
- โปรดบอกพวกเขาว่าไม่เป็นไร มันก็แค่การสอบ
ครั้งหนึ่ง พวกเขายังมีสิ่งอื่นที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าอีก
มากมายในชีวิต
Tell them, no matter what they score, you love them and will not judge them.
- บอกพวกเขา ไม่ว่าคะแนนสอบจะออกมาเป็นเช่นไร คุณจะรักเขา และไม่ตัดสินใดๆ
Please do this, and when you do, watch your children conquer the world. One exam or a low mark won't take away their dreams and talent.
- โปรดทำเช่นนั้น และคอยเฝ้าดูพวกเขา
ประสบความสำเร็จในเส้นทางของเขาบนโลกใบนี้ การสอบเพียงหนึ่งครั้ง หรือผลคะแนนที่ต่ำ
จะต้องไม่ทำลายความฝันและพรสวรรค์ของพวกเขา
And please, do not think that doctors and engineers are the only happy people in the world.
- และโปรดอย่าคิดว่า หมอกับวิศวกรเท่านั้น
คือคนที่มีความสุขบนโลกใบนี้
