It’s days like today where I wonder what they would think of the person I am today…

What a life they have ahead of them without the slightest clue
The places they’ll go and oh the things they’ll experience
From near death moments, to beautiful views
Being on stage with friends, & meeting a slew of you
Although they never became a pilot nor an astronaut nor a secret agent, or really anything super serious
But to be impacting people with laughter through videos, streams, improv plays & a spots podcast
To still be close with a lot of those some friends they already know
To be gaming, acting, and writing
Sharing not only thoughts, but various creations with people all across the world

What would I think of my future self?
And would I look up to me?
And be excited to be the person I am?
Regardless I think they’d be happy to hear
Happy Birthday!
I love you Tyler
Just look how far you’ve come
All that you have done
You’ll always be
Someone

❤️

There’s something about the sound of water
Falling, flowing, sprinkling around
It quiets the mind
No thoughts
Not even a single sound
It clears & washes it all away
Allowing the quiet to lead

These things are rarely shown on social media, but are a huge part of my life!

For those of you that don’t know, I’ve been in & out of hospitals ever since I was a little kid. At 2 years old I was diagnosed with kidney issues, in 8th grade the kidney issues worsened, & then in 2009 I went into full chronic kidney failure, was put on dialysis, & received a kidney transplant from my brother .upside.down ! (The video in this post shows the moment we saw each other for the first time after the transplant)

Believe it or not, I’ve actually been through 15 medically required surgeries that required anesthesia, so far… I can’t even begin to count all the other major injuries & procedures I’ve been through. To me it’s just a part of my life & frankly I don’t know anything different.

But before you start thinking this post is for sympathy likes… NO!! This post isn’t about pity, or bragging, or to showcase I’ve been through some s**t.
It’s about being real! I make the best with what I’ve been given &, thanks to my brother, I’ve been able to live an additional almost 16 years now.
Social media, especially Instagram, often only shows how great everything is, how good people look, & frankly is like looking through rose-covered lenses! But that’s not reality!

We all go through hardships & difficulty, and have very ugly moments! So it is my hope that this shows some realness on your feed!
And also that while many of you think has rubbed off on me with injury proneness & hospital visits, we’ve both been through things. Those medical emergencies, injuries, & experiences have shaped us into the individuals we are today!
