C.B.C (Creating Balance Coaching) Team run.
Yesterday we had our team run on the 400m track. The focus was this time on:
* Technique (keep the right body - legs -foot position) when you are building up speed / get tiered.
* How to manage your energy - speed during a race with 6x 400m
speed repeats.
Great session, great atmosphere and Fruit Bound bars to put the lost energy back.
If you want to improve your technique - (endurance) fitness and be part of a great team. Ages -levels are not important. Come and join us.

Lampang Mysstic Trail
In connection with my preparations for the upcoming Solo Point Five (extreme 70.3) in Nepal in November, there were 2 trail runs on the training program. Saturday I would do a 25km trail run with an 825m elevation and on Sunday with some of my team members the 10km with 285m elevation. Both were organized by the Lampang Mysstic trail.
My concern was not about distances and elevation, but more about the weather forecast. Long and heavy rain showers were expected (again) and that would make the long trail climb and long steep section over slippery clay and mud anything but easy, but that is the challenge and part of trail running. However, my experience in the meantime is that running in rainy forests, my vision becomes very bad because of my glasses and therefore the challenge but the risk of sustaining an injury becomes great.
Friday afternoon the rain started heavily and that continued all night and early Saturday morning it was still like that. So, before the start the battle began in my head, in the form; "what is smart". It is a training; it is the start of the last intensive 6 weeks for Nepal and is all this worth the risk of an injury?. In the end I decided not to take this risk, after all it is a training. But it constantly felt like I was skipping school that day. The fact that it kept raining did not make the feeling any less.
But the next day I was able to start the 10km with my team members, Ploy, Mark, Phoom and Ajur.
It was a beautiful and challenging course with a number of long steep slopes, but I got into my rhythm right from the start. To my surprise I started straight away at the front and after the first long slope I did not hear any footsteps behind me. I decided to run a nice steady flat pace and just see when other runners would join me. That did not happen, and I finished first overall. In short, a good start for the last intensive training block.
Compliments to the organization for how they organized the entire event. Definitely recommended to put on your agenda.
Of course, the energy and speed were supported by the Fruitbound bars.
