Fraser Island…. “Over!“
17 of November I travelled to chang international circuit thialand for the final round of the asia road racing championship. It was not the way I wanted to end the season.
Practice and qualifying struggled with the setup once again. Slowly improving the bike and getting my head around the track. Quailfying in p11. Race 1 Got of to a very bad start being last into the first turn. I made my way through the pack laps by lap making passes,i was fighting for the podium, but unfortunately I had a mechanical and was forced to retire.
Race 2 I had a much better start not falling back any positions and again made my way through the pack again and was able to lead the race. On the last turn going onto the last lap I was sitting in p3 a prime position for the last lap when I was hit form behing by an other rider and was taken out of the race. Very unfortunate weekend but there were so great positives to take away, leading the race and fighting through the pack showing so great pace in a quality field of races all over asia with some rider racing in the world championship.
I would just like to thank everyone that helped me race this year in Asia.

Friday I had fp1 and fp2 just trying the figure out the track and get the bike set-up better. Putting me p9 after practices. Which ment I just missed out on Q2. Saturday was qualifying which I toped Q1 and got P8 in Q2. Which put me in a decent position to start the races. Race 1 I struggled with the rear tyre grip and couldn't get any drive finishing in p7. Race 2 we had new tyres on and were ready to fight. I had an poor start dropping down a couple position. But I was determined to get up the front so I made my way back through the pack to be fighting close to the podium getting to p4. Unfortunately it didn't work out which put me back in P6. It is a very competitive field with Hiroki Ono being a moto3 and moto2 race winner, coming in for a wild card. Which made the pace very fast.
Overall happy with my results seeing I have never been to the track. Which I quite technical track with off cambered turn and quite a lot of elevation changes.
Even got to sit on the Yamaha motogp bike
