Have you heard of Lactoferrin?
I’ve mentioned it briefly in our iron posts previously. Here is more detailed Info about LACTOFERRIN you need to know! Lactoferrin is a protein that can help fight acne AND improve iron uptake. Win win for so many women
For ACNE:
Several studies have shown that lactoferrin supplementation can help improve acne symptoms. For example, a randomized controlled trial published in the journal Dermatology in 2012 found that daily supplementation with 200mg of lactoferrin for 12 weeks led to a significant reduction in acne lesions compared to a placebo group
For Iron uptake
Research has shown that lactoferrin can help improve iron absorption by binding to iron and delivering it to cells that need it. Additionally, lactoferrin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects, which can help to improve iron absorption in cases of inflammation or infection. Iron taken with lactoferrin can stop you from feeding your bad bugs 🦠
