The EbA South project funded by GEF aimed to improve the climate resilience of communities in Mauritania, Nepal, and Seychelles.

UNEP and four governments worked together to promote EbA by building institutional capacity and transferring technology based on China's successful experience with ecosystem restoration.

This project was a flagship initiative for South-South cooperation, facilitating exchange of technology, capacity building, policy support, and fundraising among countries in the Global South.

The project showcased best practices and produced various tools and knowledge products to encourage NbS for adaptation through South-South cooperation.
