《Meet the Panelists》

Since The Hardest Part is Remembering gives us an incredible story about the mental health journey for black men, we wanted to make sure you had a panel of black men in the mental health field for the premiere to discuss and answer your questions!

Messo is a dedicated and passionate psychologist with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. Holding a Bachelor of Counselling Psychology and a Master of Health Psychology, he combines a strong academic foundation with practical expertise to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.

Specializing in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Messo has worked with both adolescents and adults in individual and group settings. His career has taken him to diverse clinical organizations and educational institutions across Kenya, Nigeria, China, and currently, Thailand, where he continues to help young people navigate their mental health challenges.

In addition to his clinical work, he is deeply committed to research, particularly in the emerging trends of mental health, child safeguarding, and advocacy. Messo's passion for sensitization and raising awareness about mental health issues drives him to continuously explore ways to improve mental health resources and support systems for youth globally.

Whether through therapy, research, or advocacy, Messo remains unwavering in his mission to contribute to a world where mental health is prioritized and understood.
