We were delighted to welcome a wonderful group from the Special Education Major, Faculty of Education, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) for a study visit today, 24 April 2026! 🏫✨

Together, they explored APCD's work in disability-inclusive development, capacity-building, and our commitment to promoting the rights and full participation of persons with disabilities across the Asia-Pacific region — in line with the CRPD and the SDGs. 🌏🤝

It was an inspiring session and we hope this visit sparks even greater passion for inclusive education among the next generation of special educators! 💪❤️

DIFFERENCE IS DOPE: Newcastle welcomes the 2026 Hunter Disability Expo The Hunter Disability Expo is returning to Newcastle, bringing two days of services, support and inclusive community connection to the city.

On 22 April 2026, We were deeply honored to welcome Mr. Nikorn Soemklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), along with Mr. Kantaphong Rangsisawang, Permanent Secretary of MSDHS; Ms. Sonthaya Bunyaphusit, Director General of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEP); Ms. Siriporn Rojanasukanchan, Deputy Director General of DEP; and the entire MSDHS executive team.

🤝 Mr. Piroon Laismit, APCD Executive Director, and the APCD team gave a heartfelt welcome to all distinguished guests at APCD60+Plus Bakery & Café — a flagship Disability-Inclusive Business (DIB) run by persons with disabilities.

🥐 The highlight of the day? Minister Nikorn rolled up his sleeves and joined a hands-on baking session, trained directly by our incredible APCD staff with disabilities. Seeing a minister learn from persons with disabilities is exactly the kind of leadership that changes lives!

💙 This visit reaffirms the powerful partnership between MSDHS and APCD — together championing the rights, dignity, and economic empowerment of persons with disabilities across Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region.🌏

กิจกรรม Disability-Inclusive Art 🎨🧑‍🎨 ระหว่างวันที่ 1 – 3 เมษายน 2569 เปิดพื้นที่แห่งการเรียนรู้ผ่านศิลปะ ที่ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมได้อย่างเท่าเทียม

ด้วยกระบวนการ Contour Drawing ✍️ และ Creative Drawing 🖼️ ที่เน้นการสังเกตอย่างต่อเนื่อง และลดการควบคุมผลลัพธ์ ช่วยให้ผู้เข้าร่วม โดยเฉพาะผู้พิการ ได้ฝึกสมาธิ พัฒนาการรับรู้ สื่อสาร และสร้างปฏิสัมพันธ์ผ่านการแสดงออกอย่างสร้างสรรค์

ขอขอบคุณวิทยากรทั้ง 2 ท่าน นายธนวัฒน์ ดีสวาท (เจ้าหน้าที่จัดการข้อมูลและความรู้) และนางสาวทอฝัน เดชาชัยนิมิต (ผู้ประสานงานโครงการ) ที่ร่วมถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์ในครั้งนี้ เพราะ “ศิลปะ” คือพื้นที่ที่ทุกคนสามารถเป็นตัวเองได้อย่างแท้จริง 🤍

Disability-Inclusive Art Activity 🎨🧑‍🎨 (1–3 April 2026) created a space where art becomes accessible and meaningful for everyone.

Through Contour Drawing ✍️ and Creative Drawing 🖼️, participants with disabilities were encouraged to observe continuously and let go of rigid control over outcomes. This approach supports persons with disabilities in focus, perception, communication, social interaction, and creative expression.

Special thanks to our lecturer, Mr. Thanawat Deesawat (Information & Knowledge Management Officer), and Ms. Thorfan Dechachainimit (Project Coordinator) for sharing their knowledge and inspiring experiences. Because art is a space where everyone belongs 🤍
