I just got back from a trip to Chanthaburi—perfect timing for durian season—so I’ve got some beautiful moments to share with you.

Cozycomo Chanthaburi was once a working orchard filled with rambutan, durian, and mangosteen trees. But since these fruits need constant, hands-on care, I decided to transform the land into a peaceful Yang Na forest instead. Today, those trees are over 22 years old, creating a lush, shady retreat. Surrounding us, though, are still plenty of fruit orchards owned by our neighbors—so you’re never far from the real taste of the region.

If you stay with us, you can easily get fresh local fruits directly from “Sanae,” our friendly caretaker, who also owns several orchards nearby. It’s as local and authentic as it gets.

One spot I highly recommend you visit is Tha Sadet Market—a charming riverside street along the Chanthaburi River. It’s full of beautifully preserved old shops, giving you a lovely mix of history, culture, and local life.

เรามีลูกค้าหลายกลุ่มมากลูกค้ากลุ่มแรกๆ คือท่านที่มาเฝ้าไข้หรือเตรียมเข้ารับการรักษาตัวที่โรงพยาบาลของรัฐที่มีอยู่ตลอดแนวถนนราชวิถี จากอนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ จนถึงถนนพระราม 6 และเลยไปถึงโรงพยาบาลเอกชนที่มีชื่อเสียงบนถนนพระราม 6 ด้วย รวมทั้งโรงพยาบาลเพื่อเสริมความงามที่มีชื่อเสียงมาก ก็อยู่ใกล้ๆ กับเรา

นอกจากนั้นยังมีแขกที่มาสอบเข้ารับราชการตามสนามสอบที่มีอยู่หลายสนาม ในบริเวณใกล้เคียง เช่น มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนดุสิตและสวนสุนันทา

แขกที่มาจากต่างประเทศก็มีอยู่หลายกลุ่ม เช่น ผู้ที่มารอขึ้นเครื่องกลับประเทศของตัว หรือ ผู้ที่มาพักและเที่ยวที่กรุงเทพฯ ในวันแรกๆ ก่อนที่จะเดินทางไปตามที่ต่างๆ ต่อไป

มีเพียงข้อเดียวที่แขกจากต่างประเทศบางท่านติว่าเรา “อยู่ห่างใจกลางเมืองเกินไป” แต่ก็มีหลายท่านชมว่าที่พักของเรา “เงียบสงบไม่เหมือนอยู่ในกรุงเทพฯ” ผมจึงอยากจะเรียนทุกท่านว่าความเงียบสงบไม่มีอยู่จริงในใจกลางกรุงเทพฯ แต่ความเงียบสงบของ Cozycomo กรุงเทพฯ สามารถเชื่อมต่อกับความมีชีวิตชีวาของกรุงเทพฯได้ด้วยรถเมล์ไฟฟ้าสาย 50 ที่ใหม่เอี่ยมและสะอาดสะอ้าน ที่ท่านสามารถขึ้นได้ที่ประตูหน้าบ้านของเรา รถเมล์สายนี้จะพาท่านไปสถานีรถไฟฟ้าสยามสแควร์ที่ห่างออกไป เพียง 5.5 กม โดยใช้เวลาเดินทางเพียง 15 นาที หากท่านต้องการไปสถานีรถไฟฟ้าอนุสาวรีย์ชัยฯ ท่านต้องเดินไปตลาดราชวัตรที่ห่างจากบ้านเราประมาณ 400 เมตร แล้วขึ้นรถเมล์แอร์สาย 14 ที่จะพาท่านไปที่รถไฟฟ้าที่ใกล้ที่สุด คือที่อนุสาวรีย์ชัยฯที่ห่างจากบ้านของเราเพียง 3 กม และใช้เวลาเดินทาง 6 นาที (นอกเวลาจราจรคับคั่งที่คนเดินทางไปและกลับจากที่ทำงาน)

Cozycomo Bangkok was our first Cozycomo. After I retired from government service, we transformed my working space into a bed-and-breakfast, where breakfast is included in the room rate. My wife and our housekeeper prepare the breakfast.

We also created a small and self maintained garden and added a traditional miniature rock garden with a waterfall—what people in the past called a “Khao Mo.” Guests consistently enjoy breakfast in a garden, and they often reward us with perfect scores across various online platforms.

Cozycomo Bangkok is the origin of our motto, “Mi casa es tu casa”—this truly is our home. We take care of the garden ourselves, and we cook for our guests just as we cook for ourselves. Our intention is simple: we want every guest to feel physically comfortable and genuinely at ease during their stay. This is the true meaning behind the name Cozycomo.

Our guests come from many different backgrounds. One of our earliest groups included those caring for loved ones or preparing for treatment at the many public hospitals along Ratchawithi Road, from Victory Monument to Rama VI Road, as well as well-known private hospitals and leading cosmetic surgery clinics nearby.

We also welcome guests who come to Bangkok for civil service examinations held at nearby venues such as Suan Dusit Rajabhat University and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

International guests are another important group. Some stay with us while waiting for their return flights home, while others begin their journey in Bangkok here before continuing to other destinations.

A few international guests have mentioned that we are “a bit far from the city center.” However, many others appreciate that our home is “peaceful—unlike typical Bangkok accommodation.” I would like to point out that true tranquility is hard to find in the very heart of Bangkok. At Cozycomo Bangkok, you can enjoy peaceful surroundings while still being well connected to the city’s vibrant life.

Right in front of our house, you can catch the modern, clean electric bus No. 50, which takes you to the Siam Square BTS station just 5.5 kilometers away in about 15 minutes. If you wish to reach Victory Monument BTS station, you can take a short 400-meter walk to Ratchawat Market and catch air-conditioned bus No. 14, which brings you to the station only 3 kilometers away in about 6 minutes (outside peak traffic hours).
