Most IT development companies still struggle to succeed. One of the main reasons is because they struggle to control client's expectations. They say "yes" to everything and then they can't deliver.

This hurts everyone, the IT companies themselves, their clients and the whole industry.

This was once our problem until we learnt to say no 12 years ago. We understood that saying "no" to customers excessive and unnecessary requests was an essential part of our job.

There is value in saying "no". It is our responsibility to not let our customers hurt themselves by asking for more than what they need and set realistic deliverables and timeframes.
