The Southern Cassowary (Casuarius casuarius) is known as the “Rainforest Gardener” as many plant species rely on them for seed dispersal and germination. This species has two wattles (A fleshy caruncle hanging from various parts of the head or neck in several groups of birds and mammals). One subspecies (Casuarius casuarius johnsonii) for this species can be found in Australia, while Casuarius casuarius can be found in New Guinea. With its jet-black plumage, it can blend into a dark rainforest environment.

Spitting Cobras are any one of cobra species that have the ability to spit or spray venom from their fangs in defense. These cobras spray their venom by squeezing their muscles on the venom glands and let the venom out of the front openings in the fangs. Their venom can actually travel 1-3 meters depending on the size of the cobra. In the picture, this is a golden spitting cobra (Naja sumatrana). They are also called equatorial spitting cobra, malayan spitting cobra, or Sumatran spitting cobra. They can be found throughout Southeast Asia. Like other cobra species, this species venom is mainly neurotoxins but may also concist of cardiotoxins and cytotoxins.
