DEEP Marine Science Program

We are incredibly proud of these two students. Not only did they successfully complete the “100 Domes in 100 Days” project ahead of schedule, but they also carried out the deployment of their reef domes and carefully planted multiple coral species with proper technique. What makes this even more remarkable is that they achieved all of this as Grade 6 students. 🫶🏼💙

Today, DEEP students successfully completed the deployment of artificial reef domes using controlled lift-bag techniques to ensure precision, safety, and minimal environmental impact. The activity demonstrated the students’ applied understanding of buoyancy, teamwork, and responsible marine engineering practices in a real-world conservation setting. We extend our sincere appreciation to the crew of MV Manta Ray for their professional support and for ensuring that the entire deployment process was conducted smoothly and safely. 🫶🏼💙

Huge shoutout to .scuba.club and .ssi.thailand for organizing an amazing underwater cleanup! Our DEEP Marine Science students had an unforgettable experience, diving with purpose and collecting plastic bottles and trash from the ocean floor. 🌏🥰
