An iconic aluminum chair inspired by the humble noodle-shop stool found across Asia. What was once a cheap, easily molded plastic seat—lightweight yet fragile—has been reimagined through aluminum die casting, using 100% recycled aluminum. The result is a durable, refined object that preserves the familiar silhouette while elevating its material and craftsmanship. At the end of its lifespan, the chair can be fully recycled and returned to the material cycle, achieving 100% recyclability.

The Urban Homelessness

This piece delves into the environment of urban homelessness, drawing from real-life experiences to inspire its creation. As a rural transplant to urban life for work and study, I'm struck by the stark contrasts of city living. Despite progress, homelessness persists, prompting reflection on survival amidst civilization.

In this portrayal, I aim to depict various aspects of daily life for the homeless, emphasizing their humanity and desire for understanding. Using discarded materials symbolizing urban decay, I seek to imbue new value into neglected objects, echoing the resilience of those who scavenge to survive.

Techniques: I carefully angle and illuminate materials to cast shadows, crafting a poignant image of a child lying on cardboard, evoking empathy and highlighting the potential squandered by society's neglect. The inclusion of light bulbs symbolizes hope amid darkness.

In China, a Lamborghini owner hired a team to demolish his car with sledgehammers as a form of protest when the dealership was unable to fix a recurring problem with the vehicle’s engine.
