Years ago before she got so famous with tv show and stuff, the title of the book caught my eyes-the life changing magic of tidying up. I was thinking, what a weird book title but profound.
So I decided to give it a try and I had to admit that besides saying goodbye to your stuff (I mean she actually talked to the objects), her method gave me a new perspective on letting go of things I don't need. it is really a life changing course of actions, a way toward living minimally. I think.

The most important point I got from this book is that it helps me focusing on things that "give me joy" (ha ha her words actually make sense). I can enjoy sentimental objects-the objects left by my dad that matter to my life, nice sophisticated design object that I use everyday(I am a designer .. so) without any noise of garbage clustering my life. We hold on to much stuff anyway. So if you haven't read this book, you should give it a try. It's also in Thai.
