พลเรือตรี ปารัช รัตนไชยพันธ์ โฆษกกองทัพเรือ แถลงถึงความจำเป็นในการจัดหารถยานเกราะล้อยางสะเทินน้ำสะเทินบกแบบ AWAV 8x8 เพิ่มเติม จากบริษัท ชัยเสรีเม็ททอลแอนด์รับเบอร์ จำกัด ว่าเป็นการดำเนินการต่อเนื่องเพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถของกองทัพเรือให้สอดคล้องกับสถานการณ์ความมั่นคงตามแนวชายแดนด้านตะวันออกในปัจจุบัน การป้องกันอธิปไตยทางทะเล และการตอบสนองต่อภัยคุกคามรูปแบบใหม่ รวมถึงภารกิจช่วยเหลือประชาชนในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน

ยานเกราะ AWAV 8x8 เป็นผลงานการออกแบบและผลิตชิ้นส่วนหลักภายในประเทศ สะท้อนศักยภาพของอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของไทยอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม เป็นการสนับสนุนห่วงโซ่อุตสาหกรรมในประเทศ ลดการพึ่งพาการนำเข้าจากต่างประเทศ และสร้างความมั่นคงทางอุตสาหกรรมในระยะยาว

ตัวรถเป็นระบบขับเคลื่อน 8x8 มีความคล่องตัวสูง สามารถปฏิบัติการได้ในทุกภูมิประเทศ รองรับการปฏิบัติการร่วมกับเรือยกพลขึ้นบก (LPD) ของกองทัพเรือได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ตัวถังรถขึ้นรูปเป็นแผ่นเกราะที่สามารถป้องกันตัวจากอาวุธขนาดต่างๆได้ตามมาตรฐานสากล พร้อมติดตั้งปืนกลควบคุมการยิงจากภายในตัว อีกทั้งยังติดตั้งระบบสื่อสารซึ่งสามารถเชื่อมโยงเข้ากับโครงข่ายสื่อสารทางทหารของกองทัพเรือได้อย่างสมบูรณ์

กองทัพเรือได้จัดหารถ AWAV เข้าประจำการแล้วจำนวน 7 คัน ทั้งหมดได้ผ่านการปฏิบัติงานใช้งานจริงได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ มีความพร้อมรบสูง และตอบสนองต่อภารกิจได้ตรงตามความต้องการของหน่วยปฏิบัติ จึงมีความจำเป็นในการจัดหาเพิ่มเติม เพื่อให้เพียงพอต่อการจัดกำลังและรองรับแผนการปฏิบัติการในอนาคต

การจัดหา AWAV เพิ่มเติมในครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงเป็นการยกระดับขีดความสามารถของกองทัพเรือเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการขับเคลื่อนนโยบายการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของไทยอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม และเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถของบุคลากรไทยให้สามารถพึ่งพาตนเองได้ในระยะยาว

The Royal Thai Navy is procuring additional AWAV wheeled armored vehicles from Chaiseri Company.
The Royal Thai Navy Spokesperson's Office announced the preparation for the procurement of additional AWAV 8x8 wheeled armored vehicles from Chaiseri Company.
Rear Admiral Parach Rattanachaiyapan, the Royal Thai Navy Spokesperson, stated the necessity of procuring additional AWAV 8x8 amphibious wheeled armored vehicles from Chaiseri Metal and Rubber Company Limited, as a continuous action to enhance the Royal Thai Navy's capabilities in line with the current security situation along the eastern border, the protection of maritime sovereignty, and the response to new forms of threats, as well as emergency assistance missions for the public.

The AWAV 8x8 is designed and manufactured with most components produced domestically, reflecting the tangible capabilities of Thailand's defense industry. It supports the domestic industrial chain, reduces reliance on imports, and creates long-term industrial stability.

The vehicle has an 8x8 drive system, making it highly mobile and capable of operating in all terrains. It effectively supports joint operations with the Royal Thai Navy's Amphibious Landing Platforms (LPDs). The vehicle's hull is molded with armor plates capable of protecting itself from various caliber weapons according to international standards, and it is equipped with an internally controlled machine gun. Furthermore, it is equipped with a communication system that can fully connect to the Royal Thai Navy's military communication network.

The Royal Thai Navy has already acquired 7 AWAVs (Armored Wheel Amphibious Vehicle), all of which have proven effective in real operations, demonstrating high combat readiness and fulfilling mission requirements as needed by operational units. Therefore, further procurement is necessary to ensure sufficient deployment and support future operational plans.

This acquisition of additional AWAVs not only enhances the Royal Thai Navy's capabilities but also concretely drives Thailand's defense industry development policy and strengthens the capabilities of Thai personnel for long-term self-reliance.

กระทรวงกลาโหมอินโดนีเซียได้เลือกเครื่องบิน PC-24 เพื่อสนับสนุนการฝึกนักบินขนส่ง การขนส่งทางอากาศ และภารกิจการติดต่อสื่อสารของกองทัพอากาศอินโดนีเซีย โดยได้ลงนามในสัญญาจัดซื้อเครื่องบิน PC-24 จำนวน 12 ลำกับบริษัท PT E-System Solutions Indonesia ซึ่งเป็นผู้รับเหมาด้านกลาโหมที่ได้รับอนุญาตจากกระทรวงกลาโหม สัญญานี้รวมถึงตัวเลือกในการสั่งซื้อเครื่องบินเพิ่มเติม อุปกรณ์สนับสนุนภาคพื้นดิน เครื่องมือ ชิ้นส่วนอะไหล่ การฝึกอบรม และการสนับสนุนทางเทคนิคจากสำนักงานใหญ่ของ Pilatus ในเมือง Stans ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์

โยอันนิส ปาปาคริสโตฟิลู รองประธานฝ่ายการบินภาครัฐของ Pilatus กล่าวเสริมว่า “การคัดเลือกโดยกองทัพอากาศอินโดนีเซียเน้นย้ำถึงความสนใจที่เพิ่มขึ้นของผู้ใช้งานภาครัฐในเครื่องบินเจ็ทอเนกประสงค์ PC-24 ของเรา เรายังคงมุ่งเน้นการจัดหาโซลูชันเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกในภารกิจต่างๆ ตั้งแต่การฝึกอบรมไปจนถึงการขนส่ง”

ในขณะเดียวกัน ได้มีการลงนามในหนังสือแสดงเจตจำนง (LOI) ระหว่างทั้งสองฝ่ายสำหรับการจัดหาเครื่องบินฝึก PC-21 จำนวน 24 ลำ แพ็คเกจนี้ยังรวมถึงอุปกรณ์ฝึกอบรมภาคพื้นดิน ชิ้นส่วนอะไหล่ อุปกรณ์สนับสนุนภาคพื้นดิน และการสนับสนุนทางเทคนิคด้วย

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense Selects the PC-24 with an Order for Twelve Aircraft

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has selected the PC-24 to support the Indonesian Air Force transport pilot training, air transport and liaison missions. A contract for twelve PC-24s has been signed with PT E-System Solutions Indonesia, the authorized defense contractor by the Ministry of Defense. The contract includes an option for additional aircraft, ground support equipment, tools, spare parts, training, and technical support from Pilatus headquarters in Stans, Switzerland.
The PC-24 was developed for exceptional operational flexibility and is certified for single-pilot operation. It is equipped with a standard cargo door and is approved for use on unpaved runways. These features make the aircraft ideal for a variety of government missions, including instrument flight rules (IFR) pilot training, transport, and liaison duties. Pilatus will provide its integrated support program to ensure maximum fleet availability and efficient maintenance.
With the selection by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Pilatus has further strengthened its presence in Southeast Asia. The planned usage demonstrates the great versatility of the PC-24. Above all, however its ability to take off and land at short airfields and operate from unpaved runways, which increases accessibility to more remote islands in the 17,000-island nation, was a decisive selection criterion.
Markus Bucher, CEO of Pilatus, commented: “We appreciate the trust placed in Pilatus by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense. This program marks the beginning of a long-term relationship, and our priority is to support Indonesia in putting the fleet into service smoothly.”
Ioannis Papachristofilou, Vice President of Government Aviation at Pilatus, added: “The selection by the Indonesian Air Force emphasizes the growing interest of government operators in our PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. We remain focused on supplying solutions to facilitate various missions ranging from training to transport.”
At the same time, a Letter of Intent (LOI) has been signed among the parties for the supply of 24 PC-21 trainers. This package also includes Ground Based Training Equipment, spare parts, ground support equipment and technical support.

บรามอสเป็นบริษัทร่วมทุนระหว่างอินเดียและรัสเซีย มีสำนักงานใหญ่อยู่ที่กรุงนิวเดลี เป็นระบบอาวุธปล่อยนำวิถีที่สามารถเลือกใช้งานได้หลายรูปแบบ อาทิ รุ่นติดตั้งบนฐานยิงบก, บนอากาศยาน , บนเรือผิวน้ำ และ ในเรือดำน้ำ

ในปี 2023 บรามอส เปิดเผยกับรอยเตอร์ว่ากำลังอยู่ในขั้นตอนการเจรจาขั้นสูงกับจาการ์ตาเกี่ยวกับข้อตกลงมูลค่า 200 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐถึง 350 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ

Indonesia says it has entered agreement with India to procure BrahMos missiles
BrahMos is an Indian-Russian joint venture headquartered in New Delhi. Its missile system comes in land-based, air, ship-based, and submarine-based versions.
JAKARTA: Indonesia has entered an agreement with India to procure the BrahMos missile system, its defence ministry spokesperson Rico Ricardo Sirait told Reuters on Monday (Mar 9).

In 2023, BrahMos, a company co-owned by the Indian and Russian governments, told Reuters it was in advanced discussions with Jakarta on a deal worth US$200 million to US$350 million.

Rico on Monday said the agreement was "part of the modernisation of military hardware and defence capabilities, especially in the maritime sector".
He added that the procurement further strengthens Indonesia and India's strategic partnership in the defence field, reported local news outlet Jakarta Globe.
The new system is also expected to "boost deterrence capabilities in safeguarding national sovereignty".
Rico declined to confirm the total value of the agreement, when asked if the total price tag for the missiles remained at US$450 million, which was reported by South China Morning post in December last year.

BrahMos clinched its first foreign deal with the Philippines, Indonesia's Southeast Asian neighbour, in 2022.
Manila had ordered BrahMos’ shore-based anti-ship missile system at nearly US$375 million back in 2022, according to Jakarta Globe.
